Streetscapes

Streetscapes refer to sidewalks and walking areas adjacent to travel lanes for vehicles and bicycles. Attractive paving, site furniture, and a tree canopy or planted strips along the roadways are all elements that contribute to a pleasant pedestrian experience.

We encourage comments on the streetscapes shown in each image. Do you think they add or detract from the surroundings? Would you ever use that style on your campus or in your design guidelines?
